Privacy Policy
Auto Refresh by Sohail does not transmit, sell, share, or remotely store personal information. All extension settings and schedules remain in the user's local Chrome extension storage.
Information stored locally
To provide auto-refresh functionality and restore user-created schedules, the extension stores:
- Normalized target URLs, with hash fragments removed and query parameters preserved.
- Browser-provided tab titles, used only to label schedules inside the extension popup.
- User-selected fixed or random refresh intervals.
- Page-load safety settings and optional refresh limits.
- Active, waiting, or completed schedule status.
- Refresh counts, selected intervals, and next scheduled refresh time while Chrome is running.
How the information is used
The extension uses current tab URLs and titles only to create, display, match, pause, resume, and restore user-requested refresh schedules. It reloads a page only when the current tab URL matches the saved target URL.
This information is used exclusively to provide the extension's user-facing functionality. It is not sent to the developer, analytics providers, advertisers, external servers, or other third parties.
What the extension does not collect
- No account information, names, email addresses, or payment information.
- No passwords, authentication cookies, form data, or private communications.
- No webpage body text, images, files, or other page content.
- No analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies.
- No data is sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
- No remotely hosted code is executed.
User control and deletion
Users can remove individual schedules or use “Stop all” to delete every saved refresh schedule. Uninstalling the extension removes extension-managed local storage according to Chrome's extension storage behavior.
Data sharing
No user data is shared with any person, company, advertiser, analytics provider, or third party.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
